Jan W. Kronish, M.D.
Dr. Jan Kronish is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist and facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon who specializes in eyelid disorders and tumors, cosmetic eyelid and facial rejuvenation surgery, and medical and surgical treatments for tearing disorders and diseases of the orbit. He has been in private practice with Delray Eye Associates since 1991. He began his career on the faculty of the prestigious Bascom Palmer Eye Institute and currently serves as a Voluntary Associate Professor at the Eye Institute and University of Miami School of Medicine. Dr. Kronish is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Ophthalmology and serves as an examiner for the American Board of Ophthalmology. He was elected by his peers to serve as the President of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Dr. Kronish obtained his undergraduate degree at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he was elected Phi Beta Kappa and won the prestigious award for the best undergraduate biological research. He earned his medical degree at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Kronish completed a medical internship at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and his ophthalmology residency at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, University of Miami School of Medicine. He continued his training in one of the most prestigious fellowships in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Throughout the course of his career, Dr. Kronish has held numerous faculty positions and has been honored for his achievements in oculofacial cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. He was recently the recipient of the Senior Achievement Award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology in recognition of his dedication to teaching. He has authored more than 25 peer-reviewed scientific articles and more than a dozen book chapters. Dr. Kronish has lectured nationally and internationally in the field of oculofacial plastic surgery and has been listed in Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Who’s Who in America and the World, Best Doctors in America, Guide to America’s Top Ophthalmologists, Florida Super Doctors and Top Doctors.
Dr. Kronish is affiliated with many professional organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American College of Surgeons, the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the Florida Society of Ophthalmology, the Society of Heed Fellows, the Miami Ophthalmologic Society and the Palm Beach County Ophthalmology Society.
Dr. Kronish was born and raised on Long Island, New York. He is married with three children and enjoys tennis, skiing and ballroom dancing and has a unique hobby of collecting vintage soda cans from around the world. He also serves on the Board of the South Palm Beach County Chapter of the American Technion Society.
