Dr. Ronald Glatzer is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist who specializes in macular and retinal vascular disease and diabetic retinopathy. He has been performing retina and vitreous eye surgery in South Florida for more than 30 years. Dr. Glatzer is widely recognized for his expertise and excellent surgical skills.
Dr. Glatzer was born in Fairfield, Connecticut. He obtained his B.A. degree in Chemistry at the University of Vermont, where he graduated with the highest honors, being elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He received his medical education at the New York Medical College and did a medical internship at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center. He served his ophthalmology residency followed by a fellowship in retina and vitreous diseases and surgery at the prestigious New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. We recently congratulate Dr. Glatzer on joining the American Society of Retina Specialists’ Hall of Fame.
